Tropical Beach Wedding In Mauritius

A typical itinerary would be:

• - Meet with Maurisun's wedding coordinator the day after your arrival. You would inspect the wedding location with the coordinator. This is usually combined with a sightseeing trip.
  
  
• - Official wedding formality in Port Louis (this must happen a minimum of two days prior to wedding).
  
  
• - On the wedding day, we will take care of transfer from the hotel (this generally takes no more than 30 minutes).
  
  
• - At the wedding location (where everything is ready) the staff will welcome the couple and their guests. The photographer will take pictures throughout the ceremony.
  
  
• - After the introduction of the civil status officer, the wedding begins. The officer wil explain the laws for weddings in Mauritius. Vows will be exchanged and recorded in the civil status book. The officer will then declare the couple husband and wife.
  
  
• - The actual ceremony usually takes about 30 minutes. The officer will be available for pictures after the ceremony.
  
  
• - A photo session takes place right after the ceremony.
  
  
• - The chef and his assistant will serve drinks followed by lunch/dinner. Wedding cakes and champagne are usually offered after the meal, but can be offered right after the wedding ceremony as part of the photo shoot if requested by the couple.
  
  
• - After lunch/dinner the couple and their guests return to their hotel by car.

• 30 days of booking: 50% of full amount refunded
• 14 days of booking: 30% of full amount refunded
•   7 days of booking:    0% of full amount refunded

During peak and high season
Cancellation within 30 days of booking: 0% of full amount refunded

We recommend that you take our insurance policy, at the time of booking, in case of cancellation; the traveler will be covered subject to booking conditions outlined therein.

REFUND POLICY:
Any refund is effected 30 days end of month from date of approved refund from our accounting department.

Children are usually charged 50% of adult fees for any arrangement.

We suggest that the couple consider bringing the following with them or making the time to buy these in Mauritius:

• - Wedding dress properly packed. If not, there are plenty of designers and tailors on the island that can assist. Custom-made dresses or suits general take 3 to 5 days depending on the complexity of the design.
• - Personal make up and perfume items.
• - Wedding rings. If you would like to have them custom-made on the island we recommend Ravior (who are famous for 100% Mauritian-made jewellery.)
• - Shoes for the ceremony - larger sizes of shoes are not generally available on the island.
• - Any stationery items or guest cards of your preferred design.
• - Appropriate footwear (we suggest: go barefoot or wear sandals!) As you know there is an awful lot of sand on a beach - it's no fun when crawling around in it, seeking lost footwear.
• - A light jacket or shawl, as after sunset the temperature can drop a little.
• - Extra hairpins for the bridal hairdo, as it can get breezy on the boat.
• - Don't forget to bring along a makeup and hair repair kit, as you cannot go back to your room for a fix-up before the photo shoot.

• - the lobster supplement per person is EUR 40.

As mentioned before: this is your perfect chance for a barefoot wedding ceremony!

Do consider applying sun block during daytime and mosquito-repellent when the ceremony takes place in a natural environment.

If weather conditions are not favourable for a wedding, Maurisun will reschedule the event to another date after due consultation with the couple. In some cases, additional fees or costs may be involved. For example, fresh bouquets may have to be ordered for a wedding that has been rescheduled.
